Marc and I visited when Chef Emma McCaskill was at the helm, but I hear that ‘The Pot’ restaurant in Adelaide is in a transitional period until the new chef settles in. Form the outside the restaurant looks unassuming, and we’d probably not walked in if it wasn’t highly recommended by a local friend.

The menu is seasonal, and well thought out, with a helpful and engaging staff.  Chef Emma spent time working overseas as the development chef for a two Michelin star restaurant Sat Bains, which allowed her to work closely with Sat and focus on highly innovative and constantly changing menus using high quality local ingredients. Her well-thought out menu is entirely seasonal, with a level of execution that is off the charts. We had so many delicious dishes, from seared scallops, macaroni and cheese served with braised short ribs, and arancini. They also had a great desert, wine and beer list!
