Situated on the doorstep of Coonawarra, Pipers of Penola is a contemporary restaurant and conference venue with great food. Chef Simon and Erika Bowen offer an à la carte restaurant menu with an emphasis on regional produce, with beautiful presentations and wonderful service. The restaurant is small, and therefore its recommended to call ahead for reservations—or show up early to get a table.
When we visited, the menu had many awesome items, from seared scallops, warm cured salmon, rosemary and garlic crusted lamb, to roasted ducking. For dessert, you gotta try the chocolate mousse dome!
