Wine Review: 2012 L’Ecole No 41 Merlot, Walla Walla, Washington

This month we are showcasing the wonderful variety, Merlot, which supports the #MerlotMe event. Today, we spotlight L’Ecole No 41 from Walla Walla, Washington.

This has to be one of the cleanest, honestly fermented and respectably barrel aged Merlot wines I have tasted in a while. That being said it is not very representative of the eastern Washington style of Merlot for my palate. The wine has no faults and no distractions, but it also has no OMG what is this stuff moments. That being said, its simplicity will make for an easy pairing with any chicken or beef dish you put on the table. Drink up and enjoy!
