Wine review: 2010 Argyle Brut Rose, Dundee Hills, Oregon
Argyle has been producing some of the finest sparkling wines made in America, and they have been achieving this for decades now. That’s not just my opinion; they have frequently achieved accolades from some of the best wine reviewers in the business.
The team of viticulturist and winemaker seem to be at one with each other making wines of distinction while showing strength and resilience in maintaining a restrained hand during production. This wine was unique in its ability to be alluring, seductive, refreshing and delicious without being anything like any other sparkling wine I have ever tasted. A blend of 70% Pinot noir and 30% Pinot Meunier grapes from Oregon–specifically the Willamette Valley in the Dundee AVA. Brimming with plenty of fruity effervescence, and a pure delight to taste, this wine is exciting in its ability to pair well with many various types of cuisine. 2,000 case production.
Rating: Excellent (91) | $50 | 12.5% ABV
