Belle Pente Oregon Pinot Noir Winemaker Brian O'Donnell

Jill & Brian O’Donnell established Belle Pente Vineyards in 1994, with the first wine produced in 1996. Brian, the winemaker, began his winemaking career in New York City in the 6th grade when he pilfered some Concord grapes from a neighbor’s arbor. After the ensuing hangover, he went into retirement for about 20 years until he started making wine for family & friends in his garage in San Jose, CA. These early efforts included Russian River Pinot Noir from a friend’s vineyard. His career path then followed the time-honored tradition from hobby to hobby-out-of-control to a commercial venture. Today, he makes wonderful Pinot from the Willamette Valley that alludes character and beauty.
