Have you had a sparkler from South Africa?  No? Why not? They are thirst-quenching wines, and Graham Beck’s are elegant and delicious! They make many styles and you’ll for sure find one that you love…and they are reasonably priced too!

Here are a few you should try…

Graham Beck Brut Zero 2012 (SRP $35) – This is a bone dry Brut zero sparkler with toasted bread and orange marmalade flavors. It’s an austere and complex style made with Pinot Noir from Stellenbosch and 23% Chardonnay from Robertson. It finished taut, with toasted bread notes.

Graham Beck Blanc de Blancs 2015 (SRP $35) – 100% Chardonnay hand selected from limestone rich vineyards on Graham Beck’s Robertson estate. A testament to the valley’s exceptional terroir.  The flavors are fresh cut limes, stone fruits and orange notes on the palate lead to a long, brioche finish. A delicious libation, especially when you pair it with fried chicken!

Graham Beck Rosé 2014 (SRP $35) – A bubbly sparkler with nice raspberry notes and a tinge of honeysuckle which I find intriguing.  The finish is clean with some spiciness that compliments  shellfish and cheese courses.

A big thanks goes out to Graham Beck for inviting me to taste the lineup with Cellar Master Pieter Ferreira!
