Guess what time it is? It’s #MerlotMe month, a time to celebrate, taste and share great Merlot with your friends and family during the month of October.  If you have a favorite, pop open a bottle and share it on your social media channels!

So to kick off #MerlotMe, I’m sharing my first bottle of the month, an awesome Merlot from Selby in Sonoma County. Its juicy and layered with tobacco, plum, and cherry with soft tannins. Marc decided to smoke some meats and throw on a pork butt and a chicken. Twelve hours later we had some fine pulled pork and perfectly glazed BBQ chicken to go with the Selby Merlot, which was fantastic!

Now your turn…what Merlot are you drinking tonight?

2018 Selby Merlot, Sonoma County, California ($24) >> the winery is currently selling it for $21 directly from their website.
