Wine Review: 2012 Patz and Hall Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
Super dang daddy! The Patz and Hall Pinot Noir is some of the finest Pinot juice I’ve had the pleasure of consuming. Right after opening the bottle, there are smells of red berry fruit exploding out of the glass with dark, savory aromas of redwood, Memphis BBQ and fresh turned earth in the background filling out the bouquet.
The flavors are like raspberries dancing with Bing cherries on a dance floor of polished hardwood—maybe cherry, but I’m betting on French oak. The textures on the palate are sleek, slender, sexy and seductive.

Soft tannins are supple and sensual as the wine finishes with a plushness that keeps inviting you to take another sip. This Sonoma Coast Pinot noir from Patz & Hall is certainly a wine to covet and cherish. MacDaddy says “get it, drink it, and love it, you will not be disappointed.” The wine will pair well with grilled pork, roasted duck and mushroom dishes.
Rating: Excellent (92) | $46 | 14.5 % ABV
