Mollydooker “Two Left Feet” Shiraz: This high fruit weight wine from the Marquis family who owns Mollydooker wines down in Australia has got a winner on their hands even if it does have two left feet. The 2010 Mollydooker “Two Left Feet” Shiraz blends 16% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon with the balance being some really great Shiraz fruit. The unique blend in the Mollydooker “Two Left Feet” Shiraz adds some depth with the Cabernet that Shiraz does not achieve on its own and some floral nose along with softening of the body with a silky soft tannin Merlot blended in. The finish is impressive and like the entire line of Mollydooker from this vintage they start out on a path and stay true to it until it gets to the end. This is one of those rare wines that is complex on its own but will pair well with complex preparations and sauces as the food will complement the wine and vice versa.
