Punto Final’s Malbec comes from Argentina vines more than 50 years old. The maturity of the vines and the concentration of the flavors in the wine are outstanding. It is a very young wine right now and would benefit from a bit of cellaring. The juice is unfiltered and right after opening it could use a bit of breathing time.
If you bypass this small suggestion, the astringency at first may put you off, but given a few minutes the dark berry and leather aromas domination the palate it is soft and slightly tannic at the same time. The flavors spread out with spice box and fresh cigar tobacco mingled with chocolate blackberry nuances.

Argentina makes some great wines at a great price. Its usually the first shelf I hit at the store when I buy wine.
Don’t hit the shelf too hard, you might break it. JK. Thanks for the comment and agreed Brian!
Punto final is a great wine at a decent price. Its my go-to everyday drinking wine and I’ve found it for $9 at my local store. Booyah!
Dang, that a great deal Sandra!

Fantastic wine with the coolest orange cork. Tastes great on the second day and it will not break the bank. look for more than just Malbec from Argentina. You can probably already find a fantastic white called Torrontes and two other red grapes Bonarda and Tannant already out there also a few Carmenere’s are starting to hit American shelves.
If I write anymore, someone in Argentina will owe me so i will stop now just go out and buy some You will be glad you did.
Yes, the orange cork is pretty cool! I’ve been waiting for more Carmenere to makes its way to America. Glad to hear its starting to appear. Cheers Austin Andy!
