2007 Seghesio Zinfandel

After tasting in several different circumstances and going back in forth on how much I liked the 2007 Seghesio Zinfandel, I finally settled on a positive note. When tasted at an outdoor manager’s reception at the Monterey Bay Plaza Hotel amid a strong sea odor the wine did not perform as I had expected. Other colleagues agreed when tasted under other circumstances they confirmed my first findings. However determined to persevere I tasted the Seghesio Zinfandel again in a shootout with a Zinfandel produced by a respected Napa vintner and I found it to rise above the challenge. Seghesio has a winner in this wine — it will blow you away and remind you why you used to buy a lot of Zinfandel. Get in on some of this before it is all gone. A great addition to any BBQ, pizza party or sausage-grilling extravaganza.

I was able to try Sehesio zin the first time the other day. Very good wine I must say.
