Cave des Vignerons Saumur Champigny

This co-op began its journey in 1957 when forty winegrowers grouped together to pool their money to build a cooperative at the top of the hill in Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg in the Loire Valley of France. Mushroom farms and glorious architecture surround the region around Saumur. Today, the co-op has nearly three hundred members and 1,800 hectares (equivalent to 4,448 acres).

The 2010 Cave des Vignerons Saumur Champigny is a fruit-forward, medium-bodied mouth-watering Cabernet Franc loaded with lots of tobacco, currant and black fruit flavors. It is well rounded and balanced, which leads to a silky smooth and flavorful medium-long finish. The price makes it a great bargain, so if you find it, buy it and enjoy. Drink now.
